Two feedback options let you change the character of the amplifier.
A small switch on the top panel of the Crimson and Raven controls the amount of negative feedback used — this is an important component of overall tone. Other amp designers offer you no option. Bob knows that tastes differ. In the CLASSIC position, feedback is about 20dB, a value used in most vintage amplifiers (and Bob’s personal preference). Select the CONTEMPORARY position for what some consider a “looser” sound, with 11dB feedback, as used by many modern-day amp designers. Make your own determination, based on what kind of music you listen to, and the capabilities of your speaker system.
